Data Collector

 Under the supervision of the Quality, Research and Development Officer, the Data Collector, will carry out the following:Sits for and passes the ethics in research course as indicated by the ethical review board of the research project.Attends the training to be delivered about research protocol, study tools and data collection procedures.Travels to the recruited hospitals within the specified geographical area (hospitals in Chouf and Aley districts) to collect data and/or samples as appropriate to the specific objectives of the study.Follows research protocol and training delivered to identify eligible study participants.Recruits study participants by explaining and introducing study objectives to eligible study participants and obtaining informed consents.Arranges for and conduct interviews with recruited study participants, according to the research protocol, tools and surveys, data collection procedures and documentation standards.Reviews and edits data to ensure completeness and accuracy ofinformation; follows up with subjects to resolve problems or clarifydata collected.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.As appropriate to the specified position, codes and verifies data inaccordance with specified research protocol and coding procedures, andenters data into a computer database and/or spreadsheet applicationfor subsequent analysis.Maintains ethical behavior and considerations including confidentiality, autonomy and privacy of research participants; privacy, security and accuracy of forms and data collected at all times.Reports to research investigators on regular basis as requested.Travels to and reports to main office in Beirut as requested and upon need.
