Awards Officer - Beirut

ROLE PURPOSE: Managed by the Awards Manager, the awards officer will undertake all administrative activities related to contracting and managing institutional knowledge for Save the Children programmes.    SCOPE OF ROLE:   Reports to: Awards Manager   Dimensions: Save the Children is providing support to children in Lebanon through developmental and humanitarian relief programmes delivered both directly and through national NGO partners. Current programming focuses on child protection, child rights governance, education, health and nutrition, food security and livelihoods, and shelter, working with Lebanese communities, and Iraqi, Palestinian and Syrian refugees. Save the Children has an operational presence in Zahle, Tripoli, and Quobayat, and also has programming in the south and Beirut through partners. Currently, we have a staff complement of approximately 300 staff and a confirmed budget of approximately US$35 million this year.    KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:   Responsible for managing the Save the Children online Awards Management system (AMS), ensuring that all relevant and up to date documents are uploaded and coordinate with other stakeholders within Save the Children to ensure AMS processes are completed Responsible for ensuring that all partner contracts and contract revisions are accurately reflected in AMS and stored appropriately on Save the Children servers Responsible for grant close out processes on AMS, and for coordinating with other internal departments to ensure relevant documentation is collated and stored Accurately record all Gifts in Kind (GIK) on AMS and coordinate with finance to ensure GIK are reflected in financial system Responsible for maintaining complete grant files in the shared drive, one-drive and in hard copy for all grants Responsible to update and maintain the Funding Tracker Responsible for the auditable filing on AMS, the shared drive and in hard copy for all grants  Support the Awards Management Unit with other tasks as assigned   QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels Good organisational skills Good attention to detail Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, required. Commitment to Save the Children values, including willingness to abide by and enforce the Child Safeguarding policy. Desirable experience Experience in grant management Experience working in international NGOs, UN or donor agency  Arabic language skills
