The key roles and responsibilities for the Case Management and Community Mobilisation Officer are:
Rôles et responsabSupervision of the Case Management Programme
In collaboration with the Child Protection Coordinator and the Child Protection Manager map existing services that exist and to which children and families can be referred to (Update current service directory)
Supervise and coach case workers on the identification, assessment, documentation, referral (to relevant services) and follow-up of at-risk children and families (Case Management)
Supervise and support the case workers in family visits if necessary
Organise weekly case management conferences with all case workers (The case conference is a time for all case workers to share their cases and identified problems. This allows for staff to hear about similar problems being facing and also to identify and share resources and solutions.)
Facilitate, collect and report information regarding the overall situation of child protection risks in Wadi Khaled, with specific attention paid to refugee children, children of host-families and returnees
Ensure that case workers respect confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines
Ensure that files, registers and computer databases are used in an appropriate and correct manner by case workers

3. Overall Management and Coordination
In collaboration with the Child Protection Coordinator design a strategy, priorities and a detailed work plan for all community mobilisation and awareness raising activities
In collaboration with the Child Protection Coordinator map all awareness raising/community mobilisation activities of CBOS, local NGOS, international NGOs and UN agencies and identify whether and how Save the Children in Quobayat may partner with other agencies on such activities
Design and implement of awareness sessions for children, parents and community leaders (this can be with the support of external consultants and will be implemented by Community Mobilisers)
Supervise and manage the performance of all Community Mobilisers
Ensure all Community Mobilisers follow the weekly work plan
Submit reports weekly reports concerning implemented outreach activities and overview on the case management
Participate in weekly coordination meetings
Ensure constant and transparent communication and collaboration with relevant community structures and community leaders
Document best case practices and case studies
Share information on field-level successes and challenges with the Child Protection Coordinator

• Extensive work experience of working directly with adolescents
• Experience of having worked in NGOs
• Excellent communication skills with adolescents and parents

• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, and either English or French
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches
