Case Management Officer - North

The Opportunity

Under the direct supervision of the Child Protection Coordinator and in close collaboration with the case management specialist for complex cases requiring further technical support. 

They will be responsible of managing and coaching a team of case workers, ensuring proper coordination with other case management implementing agencies and delivering timely qualitative reports.

The role will address a range of child protection vulnerabilities, including alternative care needs, such as those of unaccompanied and separated children, as well as other at-risk children and families This includes street connected and working children, children exposed to physical and emotional violence within or from outside home, children with disabilities being exposed to violence, neglect or abuse, children in contact or in conflict with the law, and children in need for judicial protection.

The Case Management Officer will ensure that case management activities are carried out in line with national standards, providing appropriate and timely support for children requiring alternative care and other protection services.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

- Degree social work, psychologist or related social studies

- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English. 

- 4 years of experience of working directly in child protection case management with different vulnerabilities such as unaccompanied, worst form of child labour and separated children, children in need for alternative care placement and extended families.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Understanding of social welfare systems and child protection mechanisms in Lebanon.

- Experience in project implementation and supervision of staff.

- Ability to write weekly and monthly reports, develop schedules and collect data.
