Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:     KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:   Under the supervision of the Field Manager and the Child Protection Advisor, the Case Worker will: -          be responsible for the identification, assessment, documentation, referral (to relevant services) and follow-up of at-risk children and families (Case Management) -          Support the identification out-of school children and in collaboration with the education assistants to ensure their registration/integration at school. -          Conducting regular visits to schools and CFS to work with teachers and animators on the identification and referral of at risk-children -          Provide information and arrange social counseling for individual cases, namely children and adolescents at risk and parents in need of support. -          Provide information and advise the beneficiaries on existing social services and how to access them. -          Facilitate, collect and report information regarding the overall situation of child protection risks in Wadi Khaled, with specific attention paid to refugee children, children of host-families and returnees and other vulnerable/at-risk children -          Identification and documentation of psycho-social and socio-economic needs of the beneficiaries. -          Submit reports weekly reports concerning implemented outreach activities and cases -          Participate in weekly case management and coordination meetings -          Maintain files, registers, computer databases and records in paper or electronic format. -          Work as a member of a team ensuring fluid communication of relevant information in order to make sure that a proper management of the case is preserved. -          Ensure a strict adherence to the principles of Child Protection at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centered approach, acts in the best interests of the child. -          Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.   SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS (our Values in Practice) Accountability: Holds self accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, achieving and role modelling Save the Children values Holds the team and partners accountable to deliver on their responsibilities - giving them the freedom to deliver in the best way they see fit, providing the necessary development to improve performance and applying appropriate consequences when results are not achieved Ambition: Sets ambitious and challenging goals for themselves (and their team), takes responsibility for their own personal development and encourages others to do the same Widely shares their personal vision for Save the Children, engages and motivates others Future orientated, thinks strategically Collaboration: Builds and maintains effective relationships, with their team, colleagues, Members and external partners and supporters Values diversity, sees it as a source of competitive strength Approachable, good listener, easy to talk to Creativity: Develops and encourages new and innovative solutions Willing to take disciplined risks Integrity: Honest, encourages openness and transparency   APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is : For External applicants on  10th of August  of July  .                    The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
