Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa: ROLE PURPOSE: The Center Coordinator will be based in Zahle and manage the Center set up in the community and will be responsible for implementing all the programs activities at the Center.  The Center activities include psychosocial support, youth community engagement, life skills training and awareness raising. The Center Coordinator should ensure that all aspects of work are undertaken in accordance with Save the Children’s Policies. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:    Support the delivery of effective Programmes, by: Participate in planning and      developing all program activities      at the Center in consultation with Senior Community Mobilization Officer and Food Security and Livelihood Officer. Implement all the program      activities based on the program objectives and intermediate results      reflected in the detailed implementation plan, ensuring the timely delivery of a quality      programme. Manage      and upkeep the Center. Coordinate      and monitor the implementation of the activities with the Youth Mobilizer and psychologist on      time and to high quality.      Provide capacity building and      on-going mentoring and coaching for volunteers, youth facilitators and art/drama specialists. Report      weekly and monthly on the work progress Support and work closely with the community to      ensure active coordination and follow up on the program sustainability Organize all related events      including trainings      and community meetings/events      ensuring that participants are informed, event packages are prepared and      all logistics are organized Ensure      that all Center volunteers/staff are complying with the code of conduct      and the child safeguarding policy. Ensure      that programme interventions continue to be informed by and integrated      with other core sectors of Save the Children, such as education, health      & nutrition, food security & livelihoods Ensure      activities are developed in partnership with relevant local authorities      and other key stakeholders, including local partners (where present) and      aim to establish/strengthen processes and mechanisms at local and district levels. Promote the participation of youth in all aspects of the response where possible and      appropriate. Continuously      identify and document child protection issues in Bekaa, and ensure that      relevant stakeholder and duty bearers are informed QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE   Essential: At Least five years of experience in relevant field Bachelor Degree in a social sciences or related field Training, facilitation and coaching skills Excellent communication and presentation skills. Good written and spoken English and Arabic skills. Excellent computer skills. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively within a team. Ability and willingness to travel within Lebanon. Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency. Ability to write monthly reports Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  Save  the  Children’s  aims,  values  and principles  including rights-based approaches Ability to manage stress, be flexible and      accommodating in difficult working circumstances Ability to maintain consistent high standards      of professional behaviour and achievement when working independently and      as part of a team.
