The Opportunity
The Communications Assistant supports the Advocacy, communication, campaign and media (ACCM) function in gathering data and developing content for communications, advocacy and campaigns products, including donor communications and requirements. S/he will play a key role in ensuring the ACCM department is up to date with the contextual and programmatic developments.
The role is based in Beirut with regular field visits across lebanon (40% in the field) to collect content, conduct interviews, and engage with field teams and communities.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Degree in Media, Journalism, research or any related field
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Spoken and written Arabic
- Strong skills turning information and data into a story that can be told
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism are crucial
- Familiarity with Microsoft softwares (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and communications skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong prioritisation skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
