Community Mobiliser: (Kubayyat- Akkar)

Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, on 5 or 6 month contracts, for its Lebanon Country Office, in Akkar: Community Mobiliser: (Kubayyat- Akkar) The Community Mobiliser will support the implementation of a community mobilisation activities and awareness raising activities with children, parents and community leaders.  He/ she will provide community leaders, CBOs and parents with information regarding services that are available to them and how to access it as well as what save the children is. He/ she will conduct Awareness Raising activities for Syrian and Lebanese parents, children, as  well as community leaders and community based organizations.   Job Requirements:   Degree in Social Work (desirable), or teaching Experience in working with at-risk children and families Experience in community mobilisation and conducting outreach activities Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  Save  the  Children’s  aims,  values  and principles  including rights-based approaches Understanding      of social welfare systems and child protection mechanisms Fluency in written and spoken Arabic Ability      to work under pressure and willingness to work flexible hours in the event      of major emergencies APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is Oct 28th.   The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
