Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon. Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Deputy Shelter Technical Advisor (TA) will form part of the integrated Shelter & WASH team. The Deputy Shelter TA will lead support the Shelter TA but will be expected to lead on a number of program development and quality related activities. They will be expected to support existing field teams, lead on assessments, coordination, technical harmonisation and support fundraising, recruitment and procurement. The post holder will also be expected to mentor and/or capacity building existing country programme staff.
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Strategic Planning and Leadership
Support Shelter Technical Adviser in developing and maintaining national level SCL Shelter Strategy, results framework and master budget
Program quality and standards
In collaboration with the Shelter Technical Adviser, develop and maintain technical tools, guidance and documentation
In collaboration with the Shelter Technical Adviser, compile regular quantitative and qualitative reports and sector summaries
Support shelter sector monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) exercises
Lead the completion of analysis and research under the guidance of the Shelter Technical Adviser
Support the Shelter Technical Adviser in developing and delivering training materials and implementing capacity building exercises.
Proposal Development and Resource Mobilisation
In collaboration with the Shelter Technical Adviser, develop standardised logical-frameworks (log-frames), narratives and budgets for main shelter activities
Support the Shelter Technical Adviser in designing and implementing pilot shelter activities
Support to Program Implementation
Support field-level implementation of activities.
Support sector-specific procurements
Advocacy and Representation
Support the Shelter Technical Adviser to represent Save the Children Lebanon at national-level Shelter Working Group meetings
Support the field teams to represent Save the Children Lebanon at regional-level coordination mechanisms
