Education Coordinator: (Kubayyat- Akkar)

Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, on 5 or 6 month contracts, for its Lebanon Country Office, in Akkar:   Education Coordinator: (Kubayyat- Akkar) The Education Coordinator will oversee the planning and implementation of the Education in Emergencies programme in Qubayat under the supervision of the Education Advisor. The Education Coordinator  will ensure that the education intervention is of a high technical quality, that monitoring processes are in place, that high quality timely reporting occurs, and that the programme is continually assessed and solutions quickly put in place for a change of context. Job Requirements:   2 years management experience in an NGO environment, including education and emergencies experience BA degree       in  education Knowledge      of international humanitarian systems, institutions and donors, and of      procedures, accountability frameworks and best practices in emergency      management Solid      project management skills related to organisational development projects      and with a proven history of delivering results Excellent interpersonal, communication and      presentation skills Fluency in written and spoken English  and Arabic Commitment       to  and  understanding  of       Save  the  Children’s  aims,       values  and principles  including rights-based approaches     APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is Oct 28th.   The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
