The Opportunity
The Project Manager will manage the implementation of a large-scale education project in around 20 public schools across Lebanon. The project will provide catch-up classes to approximately 4,500 children so that they can develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills. The Project Manager (PM) is expected to lead on overall project delivery, budget management, monitoring of implementation, coordination with public schools and ensure external representation with the donor and relevant government actors. The PM will work closely with the Education Technical Advisor and Education Specialist to follow up on the implementation of the project in schools.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Degree in Education, Social Work, Human Rights Law, International Relations, Development Studies, or other relevant field. Equivalent field experience will also be considered.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) and in Arabic (verbal)
- Significant project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in successful project delivery in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Experience in coordination with local and international NGOs, representation with donors and humanitarian actors.
- Flexible, adaptable, ability to improvise.
