Role Purpose:
The Inclusion & Child Rights Governance Coordinator is responsible for implementing the inclusion and child rights governance components under the non-formal Education, Child Protection, and other programs S/he shall plan and implement quality child participation and Child Rights Governance activities. The Inclusion & Child Rights Governance Coordinator shall ensure that children with disabilities and learning difficulties participate and have meaningful access to quality non-formal education and Child Protection services in the Multi-Service Community Centres and across different projects. The Inclusion & Child Rights Governance Coordinator is expected to dedicate 40% of work time in the field.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education, psychology, social work or other relevant fields. Master’s degree is desirable.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- At least 3 years of experience in inclusive education, preferably in an (I)NGO environment or educational setting. Prior teaching experience is an asset.
- Experience with child rights-based programming, such as child participation and Child Rights Governance.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze a wide range of qualitative and quantitative data and to develop data bases and data collection tools.
- An understanding of formal and non-formal Education and Education in Emergencies.
- An understanding and experience working on child and youth participation.
- Ability to analyse information, evaluate options and to plan strategically.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.
