Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa: ROLE PURPOSE: As a member of the Education in Emergencies team, the Education Assistant will oversee the implementation of the Education in Emergencies programme under the supervision of the Education Adviser. The Education Assistant will work towards ensuring the programme is of a high technical quality, monitoring processes are in place, that timely reporting occurs, and that the programme is continually assessed and solutions quickly put in place for a change of context. University Degree in      Pharmacy Minimum 2 years pharmacy      management experience preferably for health programs in NGO/INGO/MOPH context      Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and      English Very good training      facilitation skills Excellent computer      skills Strength in interpersonal, communication and      presentation skills Flexibility      and willingness to travel to different field locations, change work      practices and hours, and capability to work in insecure environment  Available to travel in/outside      the country Recommended knowledge and experience: Children’ Rights      /child rights programming Concept of essential      drugs, Primary Health Care, rational use of drugs and pharmaceutical      market and regulatory system in Lebanon Health and nutrition      in emergencies Familiarity with current refugee crisis in Lebanon   Review the current drug      supply and stock management system in all the PHCCs supported by SCI under      H&N programme in Bekka and Akkar and make recommendation for      strengthening the system for ensuring timely and adequately availability      of quality essential drugs and medical supplies in these PHCCs.    Work with the Pharmacy      Advisor during the visit to get necessary support for understanding of the      pharmacy market and regulatory system in Lebanon and identification of      approved medical supplier for the use by H&N programme in Lebanon when      necessary and improvement of medical supplies and stock management system      within the programme as well as PHCC supported by the programme   Collaborate/provide      technical support to the logistic team at field offices and Beirut for      procurement essential medicines and medical supplies when necessary   Ensure that the essential      drugs and medical supplies meet the quality standards and requirements of      regulatory authority in Lebanon   Support the PHCC for      establishment/strengthening of medical supplies and stock management      system including safe storage, dispensing, recording and reporting, stock      check and timely ordering, quality control and rational prescription,      dispensing and use of drugs.       Coordinate with other      agencies like UNICEF, YMCA, UNFPA, MOSA, MOPH and WHO for matters related      to essential drugs and medical supplies management system when      necessary/required by H&N Technical Advisor   Establish good working      relationship with and provide on the job training/coaching, supervision      and monitoring of the clinic Pharmacist where appropriate   Conduct periodic physical      stock check in the clinic when necessary   Organise procurement,      storage stock management system for contingency stock of essential drugs      and medical supplies for the programme   Support H&N Programme      Manager for monitoring the rational use of drugs as per the morbidity      pattern Work in collaboration with other team members for achieving the programme objectives, intended targets and results.   Write weekly/monthly      reports regarding the drugs and medical supplies         Be actively involved in      project planning, in regular communication with Health and Nutrition Programme      Manager, Advisor and Logistic Coordinator and Field Manager when necessary        Participate in health and      nutrition assessments with other team members when required   Develop, organise and participate in delivery of trainings related to pharmacy and stock management   Participate in the recruitment of Pharmacy staff in the clinic if required   Participate in any Health and Nutrition outbreak response/survey or assessment   Produce timely reports for internal use on the ongoing activities of the project as required by the Porgramme Manager.   Comply      with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child      protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and      other relevant polices and procedures APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is: For External applicants on September 11th .                    The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
