Program Development And Quality Unit Volunteer- Beirut

Role Purpose: The primary function of the volunteer is to provide support and assist Program Development and Quality (PDQ) unit in achieving the unit’s objectives. The volunteer needs to liaison with relevant internal stakeholders to facilitate and produce quality outputs in accordance with PDQ strategic direction.  Scope of Role: Reports to: Program Development and Quality Director Staff directly reporting to this post: None    Key Areas of Accountability: Provide supports to the strategy rollout process; Assist in development of documentation; Undertake upon request a research; Maintain records in a systematic manner; Assists in the elaboration of papers, power point presentations, analytical contributions, concept notes, project proposals; Assist preparation of terms of references, unit’s documents; Update the project charter documents; Maintain a comprehensive documentation and filing system of the PDQ unit; Take minutes of meetings; Support the unit with other related to the PDQ functions’ tasks. The above-mentioned tasks should be viewed as a flexible specification as it may be modified following further discussions upon PDQ unit’s needs and requirements.   Qualifications and Experience Preferably an advanced university degree (masters or equivalent) in a related field; No experience required; however any relevant experience are the value added Knowledge of Lebanon and the Syrian refugee context; Ability to work efficiently and effectively with project members in various locations and from multiple organisations; Efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results Excellent organizational skills; Ability to analyse and summarize information; Ability to work calmly under pressure in a rapidly changing context; Flexibility to adapt to any subsequent changes in the terms of reference; Willingness and ability to travel to the field; Fluency in written and spoken English; Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles including rights-based approaches.
