Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut: ROLE PURPOSE: As the Proposal writer/reporting officer: the primary function of this role is to facilitate and manage the overall proposal and donor reporting process. This includes managing team communication and information sharing related to programs and support services; facilitating team decision-making for proposals and reporting; in collaboration with the Finance/Grants officer, maintaining proposal/ concept note/ reporting calendars and tracking all required inputs; and ensuring overall production of a compliant and quality proposal/ concept note and donor reports. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:   Key activities include: Gather information from technical advisors and other relevant team members, assessment teams and sitreps and other relevant sources necessary for drafting proposals and budgets Facilitate project design sessions and proposal team meetings Consult relevant technical advisors on specific program interventions Ensure adherence to key calendar deadlines Facilitate technical and cost reviews and approvals Track all funding sources and programming gaps with Team Leader Provide additionally requested information in relation to proposals from donor, SCI or members promptly and accurately and make necessary revisions based on feedback. Compile technical proposal  and reporting inputs into required donor formats Ensure complete and compliant proposal/ concept note/ reports submissions Support Emergency Team with day to day tasks Working with finance and programs to identify funding gaps that are combined on a funding gap tracker to target future opportunities Development of proposal timeline tracker Develop proposal writing templates; proposal      checklists; proposal calendars/ timelines Work closely with the Emergency team, Finance,      Logistics as well as relevant technical staff to develop proposal budgets. Development of high quality proposals, concept notes and donor reports QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE                      ·            Significant practical management experience preferably in both emergency and development programmes                      ·            Demonstrable competence in proposal and report writing, including experience of financial planning and budget expenditure monitoring                      ·            Strong representational and communication skills                      ·            Ability to work calmly under pressure in a rapidly changing context                      ·            Ability to be adaptable and flexible                      ·            Ability and willingness to travel regularly into the field                      ·            Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically                      ·            Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills                      ·            Fluency in written and spoken English  Commitment  to  and  understanding  of  Save  the  Children’s  aims,  values  and principles  including rights-based approaches APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is : For External applicants on April 07th.   The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
