Who we are 

Save the Children's work saves and improves children's lives around the world. Through our programming, emergency responses and advocacy, we put the most vulnerable children first, tackling the barriers to survival, learning and protection.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Implement S4D classes in 7 Makani centers.
• Create lesson plans and ensure all themes are covered
• Use different techniques and strategies to effectively engage youth.
• Promote and ensure youth participation in all activities.
• Lead talks and activities using sport tools around S4D and how it affects personal growth.  
• Incorporate Life Skills into the S4D courses to support holistic youth development. 
• Ensure that all activities are done in an appropriate location in line with minimum standards.
• Document all necessary feedback and provide regular monitoring report to the technical officer.
• Ensure that all youth are aware of any feedback and complaint mechanism.
• Identify and refer cases of youth when needed.
• Ensure any specific organization assessment tools are implemented where applicable.
• Ensure that youth are not exposed to any form of harm or stress during the activity and that they feel safe and respected.
• Positively interact with youth and encourage them to express their needs and ensure their safety.
• Ensure participation of youth in the program in a non-discriminatory as well as age and gender sensitive and appropriate approach.
• Respect and Abide to the organizations internal code of conduct and child protection/safeguarding policy.

Profile of youth Facilitator:

• University degree with 1 year of experience; or high school degree with minimum 2 years of experience in domains related to sports and physical education
• Prior experience as a trainer or facilitator is required.
• Experience working with groups of Youth.
• A thorough awareness of life skills and how to incorporate them into sports programs.
• deal experience in tracking and assessing how sports programs affect young people's development.    
• Should be motivated, flexible and have good communication skills.
• He or she should have basic knowledge of child protection and should be a good model for youth and demonstrate maturity.
