OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE OF THE TRAINNIG/SERVICES
The consultant will be working remotely for a total of 60-80 working hours spread out during 4 months. The consultant will be required to implement the following:
- Develop a strategic and sustainable plan.
- Training needs assessment TNA.
- Developing Participatory Training methods.
- Evaluation of training, outcomes, and results.
- Improving the communication and networking skills among project’s team.
- Follow up sessions for participants after the training/workshops (if needed).
FINAL DELIVERABLES
The Consultant shall deliver the following:
1- Bi-monthly reports on the process to meet the deliverables.
SCOPE OF WORK AND KEY TASKS
- Develop a strategy for establishing a Syrian Women Mediation Network based on a thorough analysis of the current context in Syria, including mediation and peacebuilding roles that women can play. In addition, developing a 3-year strategy that enables the sustainability of the network, taking into consideration the complexity of the Syrian context currently and in the future.
- Working closely with the program’s team; Network Consultant to provide support on developing and inclusive, representative, and accountable network’s structure.
- Network Consultant to provide guidance on operational procedures that will enable the effect and efficient functionality of the Syrian Women Mediation Network.
- Develop capacity-building plans for the network members, including training on mediation, negotiation, and conflict analysis.
- Support in developing the capacity-building module for the network members that fits the needs of Syrian women in relation to mediation, negotiation, conflict analysis and peace building.
- Monitor available related resources and identify new ones and utilize them to activate the workflow of the Syrian Women Mediation Network.
- Provide guidance and assistance in developing the networks’ meetings agendas
- Provide consultations to effectively leverage the network’s resources towards research and advocacy efforts, with the aim to enable the Syria Women Mediation Network to maximize its impact and efficiently promote its objectives.
- Conduct trainings/coaching for the program’s team; on several topics including but not limited to; project management, gender-sensitive social capital and networking.
- Follow up sessions, if needed, to support the participants after the trainings (online).
QUALIFICATION/LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced University Degree.
- At least 1000 training hours experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the Syrian society and culture.
- Excellent skills in presenting complex technical information in an easily comprehensible way.
- Adaptability and flexibility in working within a complex and dynamic environment.
- Ability to deliver high quality products in a timely manner.
- Fluency in English and/or Arabic is an asset.
- Availability for time-durations specified in the TOR.
- ToT certified (preferable)
