Communication Officer at Sawa for Development and Aid

-         Plan, design and implement the communication strategy, policy and guidelines for the NGO;

-         Produce (write – design) and circulate written and visual/multimedia content for mailings, and social media networks to raise the visibility of the NGO such as: newsletters, press releases, short videos, blog posts, flyers, brochures, posters, etc;

-         Develop the NGO websites and manage all updates and relevant communication;

-         Regularly post contents on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms when needed;

-         Draft up to date information for reports, speeches, and talking points for meetings as needed;

-         Produce the Annual Report;

-         Organize and maintain the photos archive/database by collecting or commissioning snapshots of projects'/ activities etc;

-         Create an omni-channeled Stakeholders data base;

-         Propose and engage in a proactive approach for Stakeholders relationship management;

-         Plan and manage activities to support the NGO work, such as: campaigns, competitions, fundraising events, workshops, exhibitions and tradeshows;

-         Build strong relationships with the Press, Media and PR outlets as well as key journalists, bloggers, influencers to ensure an optimized communication coverage;

-         Prepare and issue media briefing kits;

-         Track news trends and develop actions to enhance NGO visibility and awareness;

-         Develop marketing and promotion campaigns when needed;

-         Respond to media requests in a timely manner, providing non confidential files;

-         Work with the NGO team members to generate data about various programs/projects for documentation and public dissemination;

-         Establish an internal communication system for sharing information with team members about progress and new projects;

-         Act as focal point for inquiries about the NGO, directing requests to relevant departments;

-         Perform other tasks as seen fit by the organizational hierarchy;

-         Engage in the development of Communication systems and internal policies;

-         Attend conferences, workshops and trainings;

-         Work under supervision from NGO Hierarchy to develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative community outreach plan targeting individual, private, corporate donors/partners;

-         Take part in research and evaluation exercises with other team members to help align with the NGO’s strategic short and long-term priorities and needs;

-         Cultivate sponsorships from new partners and alliances;

-         Assist in developing concepts, gathering and formatting information for proposals;

-         Maintain current reports for the Programs Manager and the Director.
