Dental Officer

Our Dental Officer will be integral in the day-to-day running of our dental clinics and will be based in Beqaa- Lebanon He/she will be required to work closely with the Lead doctor and dentist as well as the health officer, to supervise the dental team, ensure in-country guidelines are being adhered to, manage the dental clinic, do all the admin related work. As a Dental Assistant the key responsibilities will include: Manage and supervise the ground team consisting of dentists, dental nurses, hygienists and Arabic translators as well as any other dental volunteers. Picking up and dropping off volunteers at outreach clinics with the driver.  Planning ground clinics and informing the Chief of camps daily-depending on which camp will be covered. Autoclaving and preparing equipment for the next working day. Coordinating dental volunteers (logistics, accommodation, daily game plan) that arrive in the week of Dental Mavericks but also in the 3 weeks that Sawa for Development and Aid will be hosting international and local Syrian and Lebanese volunteers. Supporting the Syrian Dental team to eventually run independent clinics.  Assisting setting up and closing down the clinic every day. Logistics – Restocking and ordering supplies for the clinics. Do all the dental admin related tasks  Assist the dentist with all tasks needed within the clinic Dental assistant tasks Liaise with the medical admin, the social media officer and the health officer to ensure a smooth running of the operations and proper media coverage  Skills needed: Computer literate, able to manage administration tasks with ease, good communications skills both verbal and written, team player but also able to lead a team.
