Designer

- Ability to design fashion and clothing items and eventually home ware products.

- Undertaking design project from concept to completion.

- Defining project requirements and schedule.

- Interpreting and translating the needs into rough plans.

-Set costs and project fees according to budget.

-Research and decide on materials and products sourcing.

-Produce “samples”.

-Supervise work progress.

-Work closely with selected participants.

-Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices.

- Assist in searching and selecting the targeted participants.

-Teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques.

- Monitoring and enhancing performance by providing tuition, encouragement and constructive feedback.

-Identifying strengths and weaknesses.

- Organizes storage areas and controls the use of materials and equipment to prevent loss, abuse, injury, or security breech.

- Maintain pattern records for reference.

- Plan, coordinate and prepare art displays and exhibitions.

Qualifications/Requirements, Knowledge and Experience

- University degree in Fashion Design.

- Minimum 5 years of work in relevant field.

- Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs

-  Excellent portfolio of previous works

-  Creative talent, imagination and eye for design

-  Communication and presentation skills

-  Project management skills

- Team working skills

- Proficiency in drawing and composition.

-   Ability to adapt to new environments and be flexible given the nature of the work ( i.e. constant changes happening on the ground, movement of the refugees…)

-   Maintain a strong commitment and work ethos.
