Social media expert

1. Background

Sawa for Development Association is implementing a project that aims to promote advocacy, community engagement, and visibility through effective communication and social media outreach. To enhance the project’s public presence, the Association seeks to recruit a Social Media Expert to document activities and manage social media content.

2. Objective of the Assignment

The objective of this assignment is to ensure professional visual documentation and timely dissemination of project activities on social media platforms to support advocacy goals and increase public awareness
3. Scope of Work

The Social Media & Visual Content Expert will be responsible for:

Taking high-quality photos and short videos during project activities.

Creating engaging social media posts aligned with the project’s advocacy messages.

Publishing content on the Association’s social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, X).

Ensuring consistency with Sawa for Development Association’s branding and communication guidelines.

Coordinating with the project team to highlight key messages, stories, and milestones.

Providing basic performance insights (reach, engagement) at the end of the assignment.

4. Deliverables

Visual documentation of all relevant project activities.

Regular social media posts throughout the project period.

A short end-of-assignment report summarizing content produced and engagement results.

5. Required Qualification

Proven experience in social media management and digital advocacy.

Strong photography and basic video editing skills.

Ability to create compelling captions and advocacy-focused messages.

Familiarity with NGO or development projects is an asset.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

6. Reporting & Coordination

The Social Media Expert will report to the Project Coordinator at Sawa for Development Association and work closely with the project team.

7. Duration & Compensation
Duration: During the project/vacation period (to be specified).Compensation: As per agreement and budget availability.
