WASH Monitor

SUMMARY

The WaSH Monitor will be responsible for assisting SAWA and specifically support the HP team and Engineer with the overall field monitoring, field management and report of water, sanitation and hygiene activities in the project sites, with a special focus on water trucking and desludging activities, in accordance to the allocated resources and timeframe.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepare accurate planning for water trucking and desludging, follow up the deliveries of services through different monitoring activities and prepare detailed reports on the provided services.
• Control and supervise on daily base the execution of works and provision of services in the field and report to WaSH monitor team leader.
• Collect, analyze and interpret all technical data concerning water trucking and desludging in the field to prepare weekly logbooks as required.
• Liaise and coordinate all the activities with the community representatives and the beneficiaries engaged in the WaSH sector across the project sites.
• Submit report on the monitored activities on a weekly and monthly base.
• Perform other related duties upon request to support the project team and the project implementation process.
• Distribution quality management.
• Follow up on distribution of water tanks.
• Test the quality of delivered water (Pool tester).
• Installing and implementation of barcodes on tanks and latrines.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
• Provide the necessary trainings to community WaSH volunteers or youth.
• Provide daily/weekly reports, as requested.
• Contribute to data entry, as needed.

Training and Capacity Building:

1. Attend all trainings planned and evaluate these trainings.
2. Suggest any topic for future trainings based on the needed skill or knowledge.
3. Must attend all training held by the donor.

EDUCATION

Bachelor degree in social work or any related field.

Minimum of 1-year experience working as WASH Monitor or related field, Previous work in NGOs will be an asset.

• Ability to work effectively under stress in emergency and other situations.
• Strong analytical skills, solid reporting methods.
• Solid commend of fluent English spoken and written is a must.
