The Specialized Centre for Accessible Learning and Education - SCALE by NRDC (National Rehabilitation and Development Center) is a non-governmental organization (NGO), founded on 10/3/1986 and gained public benefit status on 8/11/1995.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with special needs and their families through advocacy, education, training, service, and psycho-social support. We provide a real, exciting, creative, and personalized curriculum that is accessible to all children. We work thoroughly to educate our beneficiaries about their rights, hence achieving a state where law 220/2000 (Law Concerns the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) is implemented.

SCALE's main areas of intervention are Education, Healthcare, Child Protection, Social Integration, Disabilities, Gender Equality, Training, Capacity Building, Case Management, Technical and Vocational Training, Learning Disabilities, Therapies, and Rehabilitation, serving the districts of Higher Chouf, Arqoub, Chouf Swayjani, Iqlim el Kharroub, Mnasef, Deir El Qamar, Beit Eddine, Aley, and Choueifat.
