We are searching for…

Search for Common Ground in Lebanon is seeking a consultant or team of consultants to lead an assessment of Social Cohesion (in particular between refugees, IDPs and host communities) in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. Search invites all interested and qualified candidates to submit a resume and daily rate by the 7th of January 2018.

Your contribution

Consultant's deliverables: deliver the following by the 31st of March 2018

1. Production of a report on the needs, best practices, and opportunities for social cohesion work in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. Includes:
a. Inception meeting with Search staff to further refine and define the parameters of the research
b. Desk review and analysis of social cohesion work conducted by Search and other actors
c. Field research into social cohesion needs, gaps and opportunities
2. Presentation of the findings. Includes:
a. Production of a PowerPoint presentation of the findings
b. Organisation of presentations and panel discussions on the findings in Amman, Beirut, Brussels and Erbil for national and international actors

 

You are…

• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and oral
• Advanced University Degree in international relations, political science, conflict studies or related fields
• At least 7 years of experience in research, monitoring & evaluation, proposal-writing, and/or strategic development
• Extensive experience working on the context in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, and/or on the Syrian refugee crisis
• Experience in organising and facilitating conferences and panel discussions
• Experience in workshop facilitation
• Experience in report writing
• Experience in working with international organisations
• Experience in conflict transformation and peacebuilding
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to be flexible with time and work schedule
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
