Call for Mental Health Psychosocial Support Specialist

Position Summary

In the midst of the challenging and deteriorating situation in the country, and knowing its implications on the mental health of individuals, Search seeks to have a long term agreement with a professional, motivated, and well-experienced mental health specialists and/or firms to provide staff members (7) with emergency psychological support sessions (individual and group sessions) to support them towards building psychological safety. Sessions may be implemented online and/or in person depending on the applicant’s location and ability to reach target beneficiaries.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Search’s in-country leadership on sessions design and planning;
• Deliver an MHPSS plan for Search staff in target countries;
• Implement the PSS and capacity building sessions as agreed (individual and group sessions), providing relevant supporting materials to staff as required;
• Provide Search with a report on the sessions delivered, key achievements and takeaways from the sessions; and
• Ensure ongoing communication with Search’s leadership throughout the implementation of the sessions to debrief sensitively and discuss any identified risks and issues.

*PS: sessions will be delivered in Arabic language

Required Profile for Psychotherapist(s)

• Master’s degree in Psychology or relevant related field;
• Demonstrated experience in working with trauma and/or in conflict affected areas;
• Demonstrated experience in delivering training workshops;
• Experience in providing remote sessions;
• Profound knowledge on gender sensitivity and gender related issues;
• Ability to work with staff from diverse backgrounds; and

• Profound knowledge on gender sensitivity and gender related issues.
• Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable promoting strong safeguarding practices, understanding the safeguarding policy and procedures.
• Candidate is required to be fluent in Arabic Language and knowledgeable of Levant  context
• Proficiency in English is also required
• Minimum 5 years of experience
