Call for videographers

PROJECT SUMMARY: FURSA

This project is aimed at strengthening the prospects of youth in refugee and host communities for social and economic inclusion in Lebanon and Iraq.

DESCRIPTION

Seeking to recruit a videographer with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in shooting and editing videos revolving around the above-mentioned areas to be in charge of producing videos for the Fursa Project.

Main tasks:

Under the coordination of the communication department, he/she will be responsible to:

●       Work with the project’s team to identify “visual” people centered stories and ensure participants and communities buy-in

●       Work with the Content Writer to plan the shooting of the activities organized by Fursa

●       Shoot the activities and participants stories using the best equipment possible

●       Work with the Content Writer to form an interesting unique storyboard to highlight the change that impacted the participants and community through their engagement in the project

●       Edit the videos, highlighting the stories of the participants as a way to highlight project’s impact and relevance.

●       Ensure timely shooting, editing, and delivery of the videos by coordinating with communication department

●       Provide insights on the best practices in videography

●       Use an ethical, context and conflict sensitive approach when dealing with the participants and their communities

 

As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.

Other requirements:

●       Excellent proven shooting and editing skills;

●       Experience in shooting with various camera and sound equipment;

●       Experience in working with local and international organisations in various environments;

●       Experience in developing and realising video content about social change r;

●       Very good capacity in problem solving;

●       Strong communication skills;

●       Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment

●       Good analytical skills

●       Willingness and ability to be flexible;

●       Rigorous, precise and polite;

●       Excellent inter personnel skills and team spirit;

 

 Experience required:

●       3 to 5 years

●       University degree or at least 3 years of relevant field experience in a similar position.

●       Proficiency in English oral and written
