Construction Consultant - Establishment of a Football Stadium - Al Hisheh Municipality

Search for Common Ground (Search) is seeking a general contractor for the establishment of a football stadium to secure a place for youth and children to play football and a place for various activities for women like seminars and festivals, moreover to keep the young men away from cafes and deviation and encouraging them to play sports by securing a suitable place for them in Al Hisheh in Wadi Khaled-Akkar-North Lebanon. The project will be implemented in close cooperation with Search and Al Hisheh municipality.

1. Context

Diwan Project

Search is currently implementing the Diwan project which aims to foster stabilization in Wadi Khaled through inclusive governance. This will be achieved by improving collaboration between local leaders and their constituents in addressing local needs and increasing representation of marginalized groups such as youth and women in addressing local needs.

2. Goal and Objectives of Assignment

Establishment of a football stadium to secure a place for youth and children to play football and a place for various activities for women like seminars and festivals, moreover to keep the young men away from cafes and deviation and encouraging them to play sports in the Al Fared town  (Attached BOQ - PDF file).

3. Geographic Locations

Wadi Khaled, Akkar - Football Stadium in Al Hisheh Municipality.

4. Ethical Considerations

The contracted party shall take into consideration all factors to ensure that the work is done in a conflict sensitive manner and that no harm is done while implementing the activity. This includes social, security, safety, environmental, economic, and gender-related factors. Interested contractors shall perform all works in a time efficient and professional manner in order to maintain a professional implementation of the project. Shortlisted companies will be asked to conduct a site visit with the Search for Common Ground team and the municipality representative.

5. Timeline

The establishment of the football stadium is expected to be finished within 25 days after signing and approving the contract.

Selection Criteria

Contractor proposals will be evaluated based on:

1. Relevance of technical proposal to the advertised BOQ (attached pdf)
2. Proposed budget in relation to proposed deliverables.
3. Timeline for proposed activities.
