DESCRIPTION:
Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is a non-governmental organization working to transform the way societies deal with conflicts. We have acquired over 30 years of experience in peacebuilding and are based in 53 local offices worldwide. SFCG first worked in Lebanon in 1996, and we opened up our office here in 2008. The issues we address are multiple, such as conflicts arising within Lebanon's diverse society, tensions resulting from the increasing influx of Syrian refugees, security sector reform, as well as women’s socio-economic empowerment. In each project we seek to engage all stakeholders and strengthen local capacities in order to create sustainable change and increase social cohesion.

Search for Common Ground is looking for partners around Lebanon to implement the outreach for a TV show that was produced by SFCG.
The show is called “Madam President” and it tells the story of a woman president in a fictional Arab country called “Jabalen”.
The show addresses the issues the president faces, those which are specific to her being a woman president. It discusses the issues of corruption, gender equality, renewable energy, domestic violence and citizenship.
Madam President shows you how the president deals with all the issues facing her and sets and example for everyone around and inspires a lot of young women to lead in their community.
The aim of the outreach project is to spread the word about the show, start a discussion about citizenship, women in leadership roles and the role of a leader in general.
SFCG will conduct selection process sessions with partners to choose from their beneficiaries a number of youth who will be trained on facilitation and dialogue skills related to the ideas and concepts of the show in a 3 day workshop organized by SFCG, to build the capacity of the youth to lead discussions after the training.
Then each of the selected and trained youth will conduct 5 screening and discussion sessions about the show.
The partner will be responsible for the following:
- Reaching out to youth in the region and inviting them to screening sessions.
- Provide space and facilities for 26 screening and dialogue sessions.
- Provide refreshments for all the sessions.
- Facilitate transportation logistics for the youth.
- Support the youth during the 26 sessions.
- Submit a final assessment and financial report at the end of the project.
This is an urgent matter, all quotations and offers should be sent without delay.
