Consultant “Men Engage And Masculinity” Paving The Way: Promoting Women’S Inclusion

Context and Background Search for Common Ground (Search) is a non-governmental organization working to transform the way societies deal with conflicts. We have acquired over 35 years of experience in peacebuilding and are based in 53 local offices worldwide. Search first worked in Lebanon in 1996, and we opened up our office here in 2008. The issues we address are multiple, such as conflicts arising within Lebanon's diverse society, tensions resulting from the increasing influx of Syrian refugees, security sector reform, as well as women’s socio-economic empowerment. In each project we seek to engage all stakeholders and strengthen local capacities in order to create sustainable change and increase social cohesion. Scope of Work Search is looking for a consultant to lead two workshops on “Men Engage and Masculinity”in Lebanon and Turkey and facilitate  throughout the workshop a dialogue between Syrian civil society organizations (CSOs) working with women and drama stakeholders to identify main themes to be covered through dramatic media outputs. The consultant is expected to: Deliver  two 2-days’ and a half  workshops to participating CSOs’ representatives and drama stakeholders, ensuring that the workshops are progressing as planned and effectively managing group dynamics in a way that evokes creativity and participation; In consultation with Search and its partner, draft the agenda of the workshop which includes clear objectives and expectations of each session; Prepare evaluation forms, in coordination  with Search’s monitoring and evaluation department; Write a final report about the workshop in a way that accurately captures the workshop findings and the recommendations of the participants as well as the changes in participants attitudes toward each other and the project according to the workshop’s objectives. Qualification and Competencies Proven training experience on “Men Engage and Masculinity” topics; Previous experience in working with Syrian civil society; Experience in conducting online training; Applicants must be confident, persuasive, and able to communicate very well in Arabic Good English language skills; Excellent time management skills.
