Summary of Position
Search is seeking a Corporate Engagement Coordinator (with experience working in both civil society and the private sector) who will be responsible for managing the implementation of a 12-month project which aims to stimulate Lebanese private sector engagement in peacebuilding. The Corporate Engagement Coordinator will therefore work closely with local peacebuilding and business actors. The Corporate Engagement Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations and implement the project’s activities, ensuring that the program is on-time, within budget, and delivers high-quality results. This includes providing a regular presence and networking contacts with local civil society and businesses, government, international and local agencies as well as any other relevant community stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Build an outreach plan to engage key stakeholders within the private sector and civil society.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the private sector and civil society.
Liaise with other NGOs, donors, politicians, key government officials, civil society groups, religious groups, and media outlets throughout Lebanon.
Create and strengthen partnerships between key stakeholders in the private sector and civil society.
Organize high-level conferences and events with the multiple stakeholders listed above.
Implement project activities in a timely manner to ensure quality results.
Provide guidance for research on private sector engagement in peacebuilding.
Implement the financial and administrative systems necessary for the execution of the project according to SFCG as well as donor’s rules and regulations.
Maintain regular collaboration and written and oral reporting with Search’s management team.
Maintain responsible media coverage of program events.
Develop regular reports on project activities and finances.
Ensure compliance with Search’s policies and procedures.
As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the private sector and/or in peacebuilding – including management-level experience.
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills; proven ability to establish and maintain multiple relationships with partners and stakeholders across sectors and engage these contacts in events and activities.
Working knowledge of social impact business practices, including corporate social responsibility (CSR); can identify areas of synergy between profit incentives and social change.
Demonstrable private sector networks in Lebanon; experience working with high-level stakeholders in the private sector and their teams.
Excellent team-builder, collaborator, and self-starter; able to craft and articulate a vision, and then build a consortium of support to translate the idea into action.
Problem-solver and negotiator; skilled at identifying the needs and interests of diverse stakeholders, and then developing a joint-interest action plan.
Outstanding oral and written communications skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with the practice of peacebuilding.
Proficiency in academic and/or contextual research, preferably focused on business and economics.
Experience in corporate philanthropy and/or fundraising for medium and large gift levels.
Demonstrated experience in building outreach plans, including communications strategies, events engagement, and timelines.
Experience working with civil society organizations (CSOs).
Creativity and a strong knowledge of new ways to communicate about program results – including visualizations, infographics, and social media outlets.
Demonstrated financial management and program administration experience.
Grant and project cycle management experience.
