Field Officer- Everyone Gains

Summary of Position Search is seeking a Field Officer who will be responsible for supervising the implementation of a two-year project with the goal of promoting inclusive governance and development in the Wadi Khaled area. The Field Officer will work closely with local authorities, local partner, organizations and community stakeholders to implement the project’s activities and deliver high-quality results. This includes serving as a key focal point for Wadi Khaled community stakeholders, as well as local municipalities and local and international organizations. SFCG is seeking to recruit a Field Officer with 2 to 3 years’ experience working with NGOs in Community Development programs, with specific experience in the Wadi Khaled area to be in charge of the successful implementation of The Everyone Gains Project in the respective area of implementation.   Responsibilities Under the supervision of the SFCG Project Coordinator, the Field Officer’s responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining proactive, positive and professional relationships with partner organizations, other NGOs, key government officials, civil society groups, religious groups, and media outlets. Conducting needs assessments with host community members, including municipalities, community representatives, women, and youth. Assisting in identifying community actors and potential partners according to priority needs in the area. Ensuring implementation of a work plan to be developed in consult with the Project Coordinator. Ensuring timely implementation of the activities by coordinating with management and providing insights on the shifting dynamics in the targeted communities. Recruiting and mobilizing project participants and following up with them throughout the project. Providing support and mentorship to the sub grantees in the implementation of community projects; Monitoring the implemented activities on a daily basis through pre and post-test evaluation and regular consultations with the participants and trainers. Organizing workshops and trainings by liaising with facilitators and trainers and ensuring the objectives of the workshops are met. Submitting to the Project Coordinator monthly field officer journals, timesheets, and progress reports (financial and narrative), in addition to bi-weekly plans. Updating and organizing information and documents into files to be shared with the Project Coordinator for correct archiving. Any other relevant duties assigned by the Project Coordinator. At times, the Field Officer may be asked to work on weekends, depending on the needs of the project. As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties. Desired Qualifications and Skills §  Proven ability to negotiate multiple relationships with various partners. §  Excellent interpersonal and networking skills. §  Cultural sensitivity and adaptability. §  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. §  Familiarity with principles of monitoring and evaluation. §  Focused on results and meeting deadlines. §  Ability to problem solve and think creatively. §  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. §  Strong contextual knowledge of Wadi Khaled area, including the unique challenges and opportunities it represents. §  Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations. §  Experience working on youth and women’s issues. §  Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Gmail, and G Suite. §  Valid driver’s license.
