We are searching for…

Junior Trainer-Radio for Peacebuilding to work in Akkar or West Bekaa to help in the implementation of arts-based social cohesion and capacity building activities for Syrian and Lebanese young youth. Through arts-based activities, young participants will develop empathy and learn effective communication skills to seek collaborative means of addressing conflict.

The Junior Trainer willl design and implement a total of 5 Radio for peacebuilding workshops in Akkar or West Bekaa (5 workshops in total).

Your contribution

The roles and responsibilities will include:

Submit a detailed work plan for 5 workshops;

Coordinate with the field officer based in Akkar or West Bekaa on the logistics and organization of the workshops;

Conduct 5 workshops (in Akkar or West Bekaa) for a period of 1 month and a half;

Draft and submit a pre-test and a post-evaluation test with the help of the coach to be filled by the participants before and after the activities;

Submit a final report to Search;

Participate effectively in the organization of the final event where the artwork will be presented;

As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.

The Junior trainer should meet the following requirements

Be punctual and expect punctuality from the participants;

Keep in mind the objectives of the project

Keep regular communication with their coaches and field officers

Show flexibility, motivation and personal commitment;

Maintain transparent communication at all times with Search and partners in order to tackle challenges together and reach a common understanding (regarding participants, logistics, etc.);

Have fully attended FURSA arts, social leadership or radio workshops

Geographical knowledge and easy access to the community centers in Akkar or West Bekaa;

Good problem-solving techniques;

Good communication skills;

Willingness and ability to be flexible;

Be rigorous, precise, calm and polite; and

Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.
