Logistics Assistant

This role is for one specific project (hereinafter called “the Project”) and will require the organisation of a workshop for 20 participants as well as other logistical support for the Project. All work in relation to this must be completed on or before the 31st December, 2016. The following is a brief description of the role: These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. 1. Register and/or prepare requisitions, quotations and purchase orders and update status reports in relation to the Project;2. Ensure that all procurement processes in relation to the Project are in compliance with SFCG policies and requirements;3. Prepare documents as required by line manager;4. Organize logistics for workshops; and5. Follow up with the researcher for the study which forms part of the Project to ensure the study is in line with the requirements. This will require weekly meetings with the researcher. professional competencies: • Experience from working with procurement in a humanitarian/recovery context• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities• Some knowledge of English • 1 to 2 years of experience
