    Outreach and training coordinator – Aswat Faaela Based in Beirut Search for Common Ground (SFCG) is a non-governmental organization working to transform the way societies deal with conflicts. We have acquired over 30 years of experience in peacebuilding and are based in 53 local offices worldwide. SFCG first worked in Lebanon in 1996, and we opened up our office here in 2008. The issues we address are multiple, such as conflicts arising within Lebanon's diverse society, tensions resulting from the increasing influx of Syrian refugees, security sector reform, as well as women’s socio-economic empowerment. In each project we seek to engage all stakeholders and strengthen local capacities in order to create sustainable change and increase social cohesion. Summary of Position SFCG is commencing a 30-month project entitled Aswat Faaela which aims to build the capacity of young social leaders in order to contribute to positive social actions that benefit the communities where they live. The project will be implemented in communities in North Bekaa, West Bekaa, Akkar, Tripoli and South Lebanon. The Outreach and training coordinator will be responsible for organising and delivering trainings to young social leaders on peacebuilding and social cohesion, with a link to economic recovery. The Outreach and training coordinator and trainer will collaborate closely with partner organizations and local civil society actors, and will report to the Project Coordinator. PLEASE NOTE this position is a local position. Responsibilities Deliver trainings on peacebuilding and active citizenship, with a link to economic recovery. Contribute to the development of training curricula and modules. Work closely with the DME coordinator on the monitoring and evaluation of the training component of the project. Identify and maintain relations with local organisations and local authorities to ensure sustainability of the action. Implement project activities in a timely manner ensuring good quality action and credible outcomes. Work closely with the Project Coordinator to implement the financial and administrative systems necessary for the execution of the project. Maintain regular written and oral reporting with the consortium lead and SFCG’s management team. Maintain responsible media coverage of program events in coordination with the senior project coordinator. Develop regular reports on project activities and finances. Collaborate with the Project Coordinator and Projects Manager on the implementation of the project. Ensure compliance with SFCG Operations Manual policies and procedures. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in education, conflict resolution, political science, international relations, peace-building or a related area. Minimum of five years of related experience in delivering training and coordinate projects. Familiarity with the practice of peacebuilding, governance, social cohesion programming, and the Lebanese context. Previous training experience in conflict transformation, social cohesion mediation, NVC, leadership and/or dialogue facilitation. Proven ability to negotiate multiple relationships with various partners. Dynamic team player with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations. Experience working with youth. Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic. Strong oral and written communications skills. Cultural sensitivity and adaptability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail. Experience/familiarity in DME is an advantage. Salary: Commensurate with experience and education, with benefits.
