We are searching for…

A Peacebuilding Trainer to design and deliver 10 days training for 20 young junior trainers. The objective of the first 5 days is to train the youth on peaceful approaches to resolve conflict, the second 3 days aim to train the junior trainers on facilitation skills and the last 2 days are to support them in planning and designing a series of 5 workshops in the field of arts, social leadership and radio for peace building (The 10 training days do not have to be delivered consecutively).

Your contribution

The roles and responsibilities will include:

Design and present to Search a workshop agenda outlining the topics which will be covered and showing the numbers and types of exercises that the trainer intends using;

Deliver a 5 days training in Arabic in July 2018 on peace building for junior trainers, ensuring that the sessions are progressing as planned and effectively managing group dynamics in a way that evokes creativity and participation;

Deliver a 3 days training in Arabic in July 2018 on facilitation followed by two planning days for the junior trainers and senior trainers to come up with a training plan for 5 workshop sessions in each area of operation;

Use a highly interactive training methodology to emphasize the ideas of the training and ensure an active involvement of the trainees;

Develop pre and post tests and evaluation forms to be completed by the participants to properly document the activity and assess the progress of the participants through the training sessions;

Attend the review, debrief and Analysis Sessions (RDA sessions) at the end of each training day to assess the training sessions. The findings of each RDA sessions shall be used by the trainer to adapt the materials and approach for the next day’s training sessions and,

Provide Search with a full report based on Search’s reporting requirements, 7 days after the end of the training.

As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.

 

You are…

The Senior trainer should meet the following requirements

At least 5 years of proven training experience on peacebuilding in Arabic ;

Excellent problem-solving techniques;

Excellent communication skills;

Willingness and ability to be flexible;

Rigorous, precise, calm and polite; and
