Summary of Position
Search is seeking a Project Coordinator (with experience working in both civil society and the private sector) who will be responsible for managing the implementation of a 12-month project which aims to stimulate Lebanese private sector engagement in peacebuilding. The Project Coordinator will therefore work closely with local peacebuilding and business actors. The Project Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations and implement the project’s activities, ensuring that the program is on-time, within budget, and delivers high-quality results. This includes providing a regular presence and networking contacts with local civil society and businesses, government, international and local agencies as well as any other relevant community stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Implement project activities in a timely manner ensuring quality results.
Build an outreach plan to engage key stakeholders within the private sector and civil society.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the private sector and civil society.
Liaise with other NGOs, donors, politicians, key government officials, civil society groups, religious groups, and media outlets within Lebanon among others.
Create and strengthen partnerships between key stakeholders in the private sector and civil society.
Provide guidance for research on private sector engagement in peacebuilding.
Organize high-level conferences and events with the multiple stakeholders listed above.
Implement the financial and administrative systems necessary for the execution of the project according to SFCG as well as donor’s rules and regulations.
Maintain regular collaboration and written and oral reporting with Search’s management team.
Maintain responsible media coverage of program events.
Develop regular reports on project activities and finances.
Ensure compliance with Search’s policies and procedures.
As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of five years of relevant experience – in the fields of peacebuilding and/or the private sector – including project management experience.
Familiarity with the practice of peacebuilding in Lebanon.
Demonstrable private sector networks in Lebanon.
Experience working with high level stakeholders in the private sector and their teams.
Demonstrated experience in building an outreach plan (including communications strategies, events engagement, timelines) on a given issue.
Creativity and a strong knowledge of new ways to communicate about program results – including visualizations, infographics, and social media outlets.
Strong skills working in teams and across many types of organizations – collaborator; problem solver; relationship-builder; with a knack for convening stakeholders across varied sectors.
Proven ability to negotiate multiple relationships with various partners.
Demonstrated financial management and program administration experience.
Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations.
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
Spoken and written fluency in Arabic and English.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated writing and grants management skills.
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail.
