MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for identifying, and following the technical aspects of SIF Child Protection/PSS interventions provided to vulnerable children and families affected by the Syrian crisis
- Support Child Protection Specialist in the design of new technical tools, SIF internal Guidelines, SOPs, PSS/Child Protection tools and any other relevant technical document needed.
- Train the frontline staff & ensure regular updated and appropriate use of the technical tools and technical documents used at field level
- Identify and create monitoring evaluation tools related to CP/PSS interventions.
- Support the Referral Mechanism of Child Protection cases together with SIF Referral Focal Point (RFP)
- Ensure that medium and high risk cases are being appropriately referred to external agencies during the absence of RFP
- Together with the PSS trainer; supervise the technical aspects of CP/PSS sessions/interventions at field level for different targets & provide feedback to frontline staff in order to improve their capacity and report feedback to CPS
- Together with PSS Trainer to identify the training needed for SIF staff and Social Development Centers’ staff in order to increase their technical capacity & ensure regular supervision in the areas of intervention
- Together with PSS trainer to support the design of PSS-CP curricula for different targets for PSS/CP SIF interventions ;
- Attend the weekly SIF relevant meeting (PSS weekly meeting, technical unit meeting) and attend weekly meeting with the frontline staff implementing CP/PSS activities.
- Produce regular reports on field visit providing technical feedback and propose clear action plan.
- Ensure SIF representation and coordination whenever requested by the Line Manager, especially in attending the PSS Committee and Child Protection Working Groups (Beirut/Mount Lebanon) and other meetings gathering relevant stakeholders
- Ensure the quality of the psychosocial items purchased in close coordination with the logistic departments and your line manager; together with PSS Trainer
- Propose change, updates and/or implementation of relevant technical tools according to the needs
- Together with PSS Trainer, to prepare and conduct trainings for SIF staff & SIF partners like local CBOs, NGOs, and SDCs etc...
- Contribute in PSS sessions whenever is required; in case of shortage of frontline staff &volunteers
- Supporting HR Department in the recruitment process of technical positions in the absence of the Child Protection Specialist.

PERSON QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications, experience and competencies
- MA Degree in Psychology
- At least 2 years of professional experience in CP/PSS projects in the humanitarian field, At least 1 year of professional experience in the field of Psychology.
- Good understanding of humanitarian principles and international Guidelines such as the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPMS), and MHPSS IASC Guidelines.
- Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written)
- Computer skills: Proficiency in current office software applications

- Report to your line manager any discrepancies of SIF’s policies among the team or partners

- Always respect the beneficiaries will of not accepting assistance
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
