Computer Trainer

Secours Islamique France (SIF) is a Non-Governmental Organization of international solidarity based in France. Founded in 1991, SIF is an apolitical neutral organization whose objective is to provide immediate and long-term support to vulnerable population affected by natural disasters, armed conflicts and other types of crisis.   SIF has been present in Lebanon since 2012, implementing projects aiming at distributing assistance to the Syrian refugee populations affected by the conflict in Lebanon. This program allowed SIF contributing to the improvement of the well-being of the children, youth and their families. In response to the current crisis in Syria, and the growing numbers of refugees coming to Lebanon, SIF is expending its humanitarian response and will scale-up its emergency support to Syrian refugees and affected population. In view of SIF operation scale up SIF is currently recruiting Part Time Computer Trainer to begin immediately. The Computer Trainer will be based in Baabda Area, but will support SIF’s main office in Beirut. Furthermore, the Computer Trainer will be in contact with other SIF members to harmonize and share tools as well as lessons learnt. The Computer Trainer is part of the Protection Program team of SIF-Lebanon and will be under the line management of the Protection Program Manager.   The Computer Trainer works in the Child Friendly Space (in Ain er Roummanne) and in Chiyah SDC when requested by delivering Computer and Mobile Lessons for children, youth and women.   MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  Preparing lessons Plan  according to the level of attendees Preparing class room and course work materials, and handouts Deliver Computer and Mobile lessons to a range of different age groups Ensure students acquire basic computer knowledge of software, MS office and internet research Creating positive, stimulating and safe environment Maintain and complete accurate records (Attendance Records) and progress Report Perform other duties are required.    ETHIC AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE Respect to child Protection Openness to working with refugees (Syrian, Palestinian, Iraqis etc.) and deprived children Always respect of beneficiaries’ confidentiality Respect and promote SIF’s Policies and report to your line manager any non-respect of SIF’s policies amongst the teams or partners. Address needs and requests in a professional way. Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others. Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers Always respect a refusal of treatment.   PERSON QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications, experience and competences University degree in computer sciences or informatics other related field 2 to 3 years of experiences Basic understanding of Child protection Good Communication and interpersonal skills Experience in planning class programs Experience within another NGO, scout desired, but not mandatory Experience in Working with Refugees Experience in planning Good Cultural Awareness and sensitivity Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential Respect of SIF values and mandate
