Secours Islamique France (SIF) is a Non-Governmental Organization of international solidarity based in France. Founded in 1991, SIF is an apolitical neutral organization whose objective is to provide immediate and long-term support to vulnerable population affected by natural disasters, armed conflicts and other types of crisis. SIF has been present in Lebanon since 2012, implementing projects through National partner aiming at distributing assistance to the Syrian refugee populations affected by the conflict in Lebanon. This program allowed SIF contributing to the improvement of the well-being of the children and their families In response to the current crisis in Syria, and the growing numbers of refugees coming to Lebanon, SIF is expanding its humanitarian response and will scale-up its emergency support to Syrian refugees and affected population. In view of operation’s scale up, SIF is currently recruiting two Drivers to begin immediately.   MISSION CONTEXT The SIF project aims at strengthening the identification of vulnerabilities, their assessment and adequate referrals to existing services. The Psychologist jointly with the Social Workers, ensure the identification of most vulnerable beneficiaries in need of psychosocial support. The identification can be in the child friendly space for recreational activities, during the household visits as well as during the training or other SIF activities. Strong coordination with other actors in the area of intervention is the pillar of this program and the referral mechanism will guarantee the provision of adequate services from others partners. The action aims at strengthening awareness and advocacy efforts towards increased access of most the vulnerable (mainly children and women alone) within humanitarian actors’ coverage in the areas of intervention. Furthermore, as part of a longer term strategy aiming at supporting and reinforcing resilience of local stakeholders, the action includes a strong capacity building & strengthening component targeting SDC and local stakeholders on protection, child protection, referral pathway and mechanism, conflict resolution etc.   MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE   Based in Mokhtara, under the line management of the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for: The vehicle assigned to you To ensure a good and safe transport of SIF staff and equipment To ensure the maintenance of the vehicle under your responsibility.   Your tasks will include (amongst others): Transport people and equipment under good security conditions and respecting the country circulation rules and SIF driving policies Ensure maintenance of the vehicle: daily check-up and maintenance and preparation for the night shift respecting SIF rules and procedures Maintain the Logbook and consumption register Information & communication, according to SIF rules and procedures Obtain regular information on road access and safety Daily purchasing when required Daily assistance to all Logistics tasks   PERSON QUALIFICATIONS Essential Qualifications, experience and competences Proven driving experience of 5 years (at least 2 with INGO) Extensive proven knowledge of Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Saida and Bekaa area A valid Driving Licence Arabic, speaking and writing English, speaking and writing Basics in car maintenance Be rigorous, calm and polite Be a good and polite negotiator Good networking capacities The ability to integrate completely in a multi-disciplinary team.   Desirable Qualifications, experience and competences Experience working for international organizations Mechanics First Aid
