Shelter Project Manager

General Objective SIF is setting up an urgent shelter intervention to improve the living situation of refugees in Lebanon The Shelter Project Manager has the overall responsibility for development and implementation of SIF’s shelter program supported by SIF’s Program Coordinator. Workplace Beirut with frequent travels in the South, Mount Lebanon and Bekaa Starting Date  ASAP Tasks and responsibilities Project implementation Manage the shelter project in order to meet the project objectives within budget and within the time frame Ensure the shelter project is implemented in line with donor proposals and requirements and in accordance with country and international standards Set clear objectives and indicators for activities Monitor and supervise activities, overseeing the technical design, execution and evaluation of progress through outputs and impacts Reporting Ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities according to SIF and donors formats Prepare weekly progress reports to PC on progress Prepare field reports Financial Management Manage the shelter budget for the assigned project and ensure all project activities are in accordance with budget lines in cooperation with Financial Coordinator. Logistic Ensure good communication with logistic officer so that procurements, purchases and contracts are made according to SIF and donors procedures. Project Development Develop and implement an appropriate and effective shelter strategy for SIF in Lebanon in consultation with other staff. Assess the shelter situation in the project areas Develop new proposals, linked to the country strategy Coordination Represent SIF in the sector working groups and interagency planning workshops at national level Ensure good communication with beneficiaries, local partners and local authorities at the field level Supervision Under the direct supervision of: Program Coordinator Under the overall supervision of: Head of Mission Required qualification Minimum of 3 years experience Bachelor Degree in relevant field Excellent knowledge in Arabic and English is essential Previous experience in managing Shelter projects with NGOs/INGOs is an advantage
