Centre Coordinator – Donor Relations and Proposal Writing

Contract duration: 07/2021 - 04/2022 (35 working hours per week) with a potential extension.

Work place: Tripoli, Lebanon

Payment: 5 USD/hour

The Centre Coordinator will work for the People in Need Slovakia NGO in close cooperation with the local partner SEED and will be based in Tripoli.

THE ROLE & DUTIES

  • Project planning and proposal writing skills within the livelihoods and education sectors
  • Helping coordinate in-person project activities at the educational centre in Tripoli - along with an expat volunteer and under the project manager supervision. The activities will depend on the current pandemic situation and will vary during the assignment, thus require some time flexibility
  • Assisting with the project admin, cluster reporting and progress reports
  • Overseeing some project activities and collecting feedback from the beneficiaries
  • Coordinating trainings provided throughout the project (several weekends may be required)

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Experience working with INGOs (at least 3 years)
  • Strong project planning and excellent proposal writing skills (for institutional donors) within the livelihoods and education sectors
  • Excellent English skills (written and oral), Arabic is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Experience and skills in budgeting and budget monitoring
  • Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred. Major Field/Specialty: Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing/Development, Public Affairs/Policy or related fields.
  • Being able to work individually and also within the team
  • Being able to adapt to cultural context and follow the vision, values and principles of SEED and People in Need Slovakia

People in Need Slovakia (PIN SK) was established in 1999. Since then we have been operating in 27 countries, combating poverty and helping people live in dignity. PIN SK provides humanitarian aid in critical regions around the world to support people in crises and helps individuals overcome challenging circumstances, so they can get back on their feet. The first humanitarian intervention of PIN SK in Lebanon started back in 2006 and intensified after the outbreak of the Syrian refugee crisis. Since then, we have been managing multiple projects focused on livelihoods, shelter and education for vulnerable communities.
