Legal Trainer in Civil Rights, Personal Status laws and Womens right issues

Socio-Economic Enhance and Development (SEED) is a non-profit, secular, and non-governmental organization based in Tripoli, North Lebanon. 

The core value of SEED is to empower individuals and communities in order to create an independent and prosperous society. We give people a hand up, not a hand out. The way we do this is through projects offering education, equipping people with vocational skills, and providing information on matters such as health and legal. We encourage volunteering and delivery of services by the community, for the community.

Period of Performance: 40 sessions over4 months (June 2023 September 2023)

The role:

SEED is implementing a new project covering Tripoli and its surrounding areas.

We’re looking for a  Legal Trainer to deliver in person four training session per group  for a total of ten groups.

We are looking for one or multipple trainers to cover the listed topics

- Personal Status Laws

- Labour Laws.

- Civil And womens right topics.

Specific tasks:

• Develop training material (PowerPoint presentations/Handouts) and agenda, in cooperation with a social researcher that, in the first phase of the project, will have investigated the reasons why, despite the large percentage of women employed in the public sector, just a few aim at and achieve leadership positions.
• In-person training delivery.
• Conduct a needs assessment for the beneficiaries to build a relevant curriculum.
• Create a detailed plan to complete the sessions for all the groups on time.
• Help women express themselves in group or in person by asking raising legal and civil issues.
• Keep attendance and other records; produce final report.
• Evaluate knowlege gained by the training sessions.
   

Minimum Qualifications: 

Trainer with 4+ years’ experience with non-profit organizations;

University degree in law;

Familiar with listed topics.
