CONTEXT
Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) is a French non-governmental organization founded
in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s
main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to very small enterprises and
access to education for the most vulnerable persons.
IECD has been operating in Lebanon since 1994 and it opened a regional office in Beirut in 2010.
Among its projects, the entrepreneurship program has been running in North Lebanon accompanying very small
entrepreneurs and startups since 2010. It was extended to Beirut Mount Lebanon in 2017 and to the South in 2022.
Once the entrepreneurs are certified from the main training (a 27-hour training on the basics of activity
management), they can pursue their capacity building by attending specialized trainings which consist of a 16-hour
training covering one specific topic such as “Marketing”, “Finance and Accounting” ,“Crisis management”...
In addition to the specialized trainings, thematic sessions which consist of workshops of 3 to 6 hours are organized
to cover specific topics of interest to the entrepreneurs
For the implementation of the specialized trainings and thematic sessions activities, IECD and Semeurs d’Avenir are looking for an external trainer who is expert in finance, accounting and crisis management.
MISSIONS
The Financial and Accounting Trainer will be responsible of the follow:
- Facilitate the specialized trainings and thematic sessions related to finance, accounting, crisis management
and risk management.
- Get to know the content of the existing trainings and IECD pedagogical tools and methodology.
- Adapt the contents and the methodologies during the training according to the beneficiaries needs and
level of competency.
- Provide visual support documents if requested by the beneficiaries to ensure their understanding.
- Oversee the implementation of the sessions: fill in all the documents required during the training sessions
such as attendance sheet, evaluation template and final report…and collaborate with the project team
PROFILE
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business related major
Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in delivering training and/or working in financial and accounting
field, previous experience working with international organization under entrepreneurship program is preferable.
Required skills and competencies:
- Good knowledge of Lebanese accounting and financial systems
- Good knowledge of the Lebanese tax law
- Good knowledge of the Lebanese situation
- Good facilitation skills
- Good communication skills and ability to adapt with different personalities.
- Build good relations with trainees and understand their needs.
Job Location: Lebanon especially in the North, Beirut and Saida
Contract Type: Consultancy
Contract Duration: till end of 2022 (extendable depending on fund and performance)
Remuneration: 50 USD per hour (Maximum of 16 hours per training) + Transpor
