CONTEXT

IECD (Institut Européen de cooperation et de développement) is a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions.
IECD main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education for the most vulnerable.
IECD has been implementing projects in the Middle East since 1994 and opened a regional delegation in Beirut during 2007.
Semeurs D’avenir (SDA) is a Lebanese association, founded in 2010, with the support of the European Institute of Development and Cooperation (IECD), in order to create a local structure capable of carrying and ensuring the sustainability of the projects launched by IECD with its local partners.
Semeurs D’avenir (SDA) remains the privileged partner of IECD in Lebanon.
Today, IECD and SDA - with the support of their local partners – are implementing several technical trainings and professional integration projects for youth, support the SME’s and easy access to education.
A team of more than 80 people, surrounded by consultants, contactors, volunteers, and interns implements around ten projects in Lebanon. 

As its activities are strongly growing in Lebanon, Semeurs d'Avenir is looking for an Internal Audit Assistant.

MISSION

The Internal Audit Assistant will be in charge of the following missions:

• Assist in Project Financial audit preparations.
• Assist the internal auditor Lebanon, and/or Finance, accounting if needed, in their daily tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of the expenditures list, debit notes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensure that all engagements and documentations comply with IECD/SDA procedures and donor’s requirements.
• Prepare and submit intermediary/final reports to the Internal Audit Officer and to the Financial Controller.
• Support the administrative and financial team by improving existent tools and procedures.

PROFILE

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Audit, Accounting, or other related fields. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience: Experience in Audit, Finance or Accounting departments is a plus.

Languages: Fluent in Arabic, French and English.

• Excellent level in Excel ;
• Analytical, Mathematical, and reporting skills.

• Strong interest and motivation for international solidarity and development.
