Project Officer

IECD and Semeurs d’Avenir have been running the Program “Entrepreneurship” since 2010 in North Lebanon. This program aims at strengthening or creating micro-businesses. A new training “Skills for your business”, helping self-employed beneficiaries to manage their own business, was launched in 2017 in Beirut and Tripoli. The “Skills for your business” training offers financial, communication and management competencies to youth and women who find themselves forced into self-employment due to the difficult economic context and low employment opportunities. Through this training they are able to generate a stable income with their activity. These trainings contribute to improving the living conditions of the youth and women as well as those of their families’. IECD and its partner “Semeurs d’Avenir” are looking for a project officer in charge of “Skills for your business” trainings implementation in Tripoli MISSION Under the responsibility of « Support to Micro & Small Entreprises program” project manager, the “Skills for your business” project officer will be in charge of : 1/ Recruitment of beneficiaries - Prospection, identification and selection process - Outreach in collaboration with “Short Vocational trainings” team in Tripoli - Building local partnerships - Social media communication strategy in collaboration with Communication manager - Supporting “MSMEs support program” team on recruitment for their trainings 2/ Trainings implementation in IECD office In Tripoli - Quickly master the content of the training sessions (basic management, financial, marketing & communication) - Participate actively in the development and adaptation of the training’s material - Ensure the logistic and coordination of training sessions - Identify, recruit & form new trainers and insure support to trainers during training sessions - Ensure the quality of training and coaching sessions 3/ Follow up - Beneficiaries follow up during and after the training. - Monitoring & evaluation of project impact (collect quantitative and qualitative data on project performance and impact on beneficiaries, and recommend needed improvement 4/Development of the project - Identify and establish relations with other relevant organizations involved and interested in economic development
