Project Officer Maintenance of Industrial Equipment & Machinery Vocational training

Under the responsibility of the project manager, the project officer will be responsible for implementing the project described above with the following missions:

1. Partner TVET private schools assessment and support and are supported to obtain grants for organizational and technical upgrades

• Conduct and organizational and technical assessment of the schools
• Assist TVET schools in grant application and submission

2. Curriculum and content development and/or adaptation

• Conduct a workplace analysis to identify tasks/duties and competencies needed to determine occupational profile
• Create a modular technical curriculum for Maintenance of Industrial Equipment & Machinery with the support of the project manager, technical and pedagogical experts
• Build partnership with a company from private sector which will certify the curriculum

3. Teacher training courses in vocational, technical and soft skills

• Assess technical and pedagogical competencies of the teachers
• Develop Training of Trainers sessions
• Implement teacher training courses

4. Supporting the implementation of the trainings in partner schools

• Conduct follow up visits of the trainings and the teachers
• Assist in trainees’ evaluation

PROFILE

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.

-Experience: 1 to 3 years’ engineering experience is required.

- Experience in project management would be a plus

- Experience in the field of industrial maintenance would be a plus.

- Knowledge of the education and vocational training system in Lebanon is a plus.

 Competencies

- Proficiencies in Excel and MS Office

- Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Excellent writing skills in English is mandatory. French is a plus.

- Capacity to communicate, good interpersonal skills and capacity to manage intercultural relations

Driver's license required
