Training Coordinator For Micro And Small Enterprises

CONTEXT Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement (IECD) is a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1994 and it opened a regional office in Beirut in 2007. Semeurs d’Avenir is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in vocational and professional training. IECD and Semeurs d’Avenir have a combined team of about thirty members, and are running ten projects in 2016. Among these projects, the Support to Micro Enterprises programme has been running in North Lebanon and accompanying very Small entrepreneurs since 2010. In 2016, the project’s main strategy is to further expand in terms of activities (technical trainings and workshops, trainings to SMEs, support to grassroots organizations etc.). In order to successfully implement such trainings, IECD is recruiting for an experienced trainer/consultant specialized in Marketing.   MISSION Under the supervision of the project manager, your main and key responsibilities:   Your main responsibility is to perform Basic Management trainings and Marketing trainings, from end-to-end : outreach, training, follow-up. Each training addresses 12 to 15 beneficiaries, and is composed of 12 two-hour sessions. The sessions have been designed by IECD and address the main performance leverages, such as human resources, cash management, sales, labor law etc. You will have to coordinate, deliver and ensure good quality of the trainings as well as follow-up with beneficiaries.   1/ Identification and recruitment of beneficiaries: Identify villages with a large concentration of Small businesses in North Lebanon Make sure of the level of commitment and self-discipline of the beneficiary as well as his/her willingness to grow his/her activities Connect with relevant associations and municipalities to outreach on the programme and gather existing lists Conduct on-the-field visits, interview and select potential beneficiaries   2/ Deliver trainings: Together with the project manager, plan and organize trainings timeline according to beneficiaries availability Deliver Basic Management as well as Marketing trainings to selected beneficiaries Ensure minimum 80% attendance at the trainings Provide the beneficiaries with all relevant documents (cash books, exercise books etc.) Maintain high quality of the trainings   3/ Conduct follow-up visits: Conduct follow-up during the training Conduct follow-up visits after the training: one directly of the end of the training Fill in and update the beneficiaries database and Trainings management tool to assess the impact of the trainings   4/ Run the Clubs of Entrepreneurs: Launch a Club in new areas (e.g. Zgharta and its surroundings) Coordinate the adhesion to the Club as well as the activities (Thematic evenings, business encounters, individual counselling etc.)   EXPECTED PROFILE Education: Master in Business / economics, with a focus on marketing Experience: minimum 4 years work experience in Business / teaching / Marketing industry.   Interests: Strong interest in micro and small enterprises Skills and qualities expected: -          Good organizational skills -          Excellent teaching skills, ability  to deliver quality trainings -          Good interpersonal skills, ability to recruit and build trust with beneficiaries -          Good command of data entry -          Good knowledge of North Lebanon regions and communities -          Teamwork -          Sense of initiative, flexibility and autonomy -          Arabic mandatory; Fluency in English or French; knowledge of French writing will be an added advantage   CONDITIONS Start Dates: September 2016 Location: Tripoli, IECD office, with regular travels to activities regions (Akkar, Danniyeh, Zgharta etc.)   Under the supervision of: Project Manager Package:  To be defined according to profile and experience
