The trainers are supposed to cover the following modules:
Module 1 — Verification Methodology: How to check a claim, trace an image, evaluate a source, and document the verification process in a reproducible way.
Module 2 — Visual Content Production: How to produce a compelling, accurate 60-second awareness video using only a smartphone, including scripting, filming, basic editing, and platform-appropriate formatting.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
This training program is designed to equip community communicators, civil society practitioners, and media professionals with practical skills to counter misinformation and produce high-impact social content. Trainers will deliver focused, hands-on sessions that combine methodology with real-world application. The program operates across four interconnected modules, with each trainer responsible for delivering two complementary modules that together form a coherent learning journey for participants.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver two structured training sessions covering verification methodology and visual content production
- Develop session plans, exercises, and reference materials tailored to the program participants
- Guide participants through hands-on practice of fact-checking tools and mobile video production workflows
- Assess participant progress and adapt delivery based on group dynamics and prior knowledge
- Coordinate with the second trainer to ensure content coherence across all four modules
- Provide post-session feedback and contribute to program evaluation processes
- Make training materials available in a format that participants can continue to use independently
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven expertise in information verification, fact-checking, or digital media literacy
- Practical experience in video production, ideally including smartphone-based or low-resource production
- Prior experience designing and delivering training workshops or educational sessions
- Familiarity with tools used in open-source intelligence (OSINT) and digital verification (e.g., reverse image search, metadata analysis, source evaluation frameworks)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make technical processes accessible to non-specialist audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-delivered training program
PREFERRED ASSETS
- Experience working in civic tech, journalism, or community development contexts
- Familiarity with the Lebanese or regional civil society landscape
- Bilingual delivery capacity (Arabic and English or French)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt training materials to diverse audiences and literacy levels
- Network within relevant professional communities that can enrich the learning environment
