Quality Control Internship

Job title: Quality Control Internship

Paid Internship: 100 $ (fresh) per month

Internship duration: 450 hours

Work scheduled: from Monday to Friday (Minimum 3 days per week)

                                Minimum of 5 hours per day within 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM (Flexible time)

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the QC & Food Unit Coordinator to ensure the Food Safety and Quality Management system policies and procedures are adhered to on the shop floor
• Monitoring production line activities and the quality of production procedures, with the QC & Food Unit Coordinator, to ensure standards
• Focusing on the inspection aspect of quality management and fulfilling quality requirements, as opposed to monitoring processes, which is more along the area of quality assurance.
• Helping the QC & Food Unit Coordinator in monitoring the materials and products (raw materials) coming in and out of manufacturing sites or company premises.
• Checking semi-finished and Finished products in the high care and goods out areas, checking the quality of Product labeling, and packaging
• Assisting with daily checks such as monitoring: temperature, water activity, humidity, and metal or any other defect detection
• Assisting, in cooperation with the QC & Food Unit Coordinator in dealing with customer complaints
• Ensuring cleanliness of processes at all times
• Helping in the outfit of a microbiological Lab and having the ability to learn quickly
• Running tests and logging defects of products or procedures at assembly lines, laboratories, or quality control departments.

Candidate qualifications:

• Studying for a degree in Food Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or any similar scientific field
• Knowledge of Food Quality Control / Assurance
• Intermediate food hygiene or above certificate desirable or willing to train for it.
• HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) knowledge is an advantage
• Competent with the use of a PC and capable of completing the necessary paperwork and report writing
• Good communicator and team player.
