SHEILD is looking to partner with a service provider, referred to as the "Coach," to offer coaching sessions to designated kitchen garden participants in Jezzine and Saida Districts.
The coaching will provide the kitchen garden participants with an orientation of how to manage their lands and cultivations in alignment with the trainings conducted; and help with any questions they may have regarding agriculture, basic financial management and marketing.
The specific objectives of providing the coaching sessions will include:
- Conducting field visits to each kitchen garden participant in their own land.
- Reporting on each visit conducted
- Fill in a checklist provided by SHEILD Association
The selected coach will be responsible to orient the following topics to approximately 45 participants on the following topics:
- Crop and land management
- Irrigation techniques
- Composting
- Harvesting and storage
- Agricultural Marketing
- Any other information related to Agriculture and basic finance
The coaching will be provided in Jezzine and Saida Districts.
The coaching schedule(s) will start approximately between the last week of November 2025 until June 2026
The coach(s) will be providing two coaching sessions for the 45 participants between November 2025 and June 2026
The selected coach(s) will be tasked with the following:
- Deliver coaching sessions: Ensure that all coaching sessions are completed within the agreed schedule and conducted in a thorough, timely manner.
- Reporting: Submit a comprehensive report to SHEILD officials upon the completion of the coaching sessions, detailing the outcomes and assessments.
The standard trainer should possess the following:
- A degree in, Agriculture or a related field.
- Proven experience within the agricultural sector.
- Expertise in donor regulations, compliance requirements, and financial management related to farming projects.
- Strong facilitation and training skills with hand-on approaches suitable for kitchen garden.
- Experience working with farming communities, NGOs, INGOs, or agricultural development programs is highly desirable.
- Availability of own car.
The selected coach must be ready to start services immediately upon contract signing.
The timeline is from the date of signing the contract till the last coaching session, may be extended depending on funds and needs.
